Outdoor Movies Line-up Summer 2013: Eastside Seattle (including Movies at Marymoor & Bellevue Outdoor Movies)

It's almost time to pack your picnic dinners, spread your blankets, and snuggle in for outdoor movie night!  I don't know of much else that speaks summertime more than relaxing under the stars with friends and loved ones and enjoying some of our favorite movie entertainment.  The following is a line-up of outdoor movies in Seattle's Eastside cities of Bellevue, Redmond, and Kirkland.
Marymoor Park Movies:  Wednesday's July 10th - Aug 28th   Movies at Marymoor, located at 6046 West Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE  Redmond, WA 98052, one of the Redmond's most popular summer events proudly boasts food trucks, circus acts, movie trivia, and is even dog-friendly.  $5 - Seating starts at 7:00 and movies begin at dusk.

  • 7/17 - Pitch Perfect (PG 13)
  • 7/24 - The Incredibles (PG)
  • 7/31 - The Hunger Games (PG 13)
  • 8/7 - 10 Things I Hate About You (PG 13)

  • 8/21 - Jurassic Park (PG 13)
  • 8/28 - The Goonies (PG)

Bellevue Outdoor Movies:  Tuesdays, July 2nd - Aug 20th Located at Bellevue Downtown Park, 10201 NE 4th St, Bellevue 98004, - Bellevue movies in the park are FREE and start at dusk (9 pm).  The movies are rated family friendly and include a pre-movie activity.   Best of all, each movie night has a theme to benefit a different charity. It is suggested that you please bring a donation to support the cause of the night (see below).

  • Jul 16 - Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days - Charity: Ashoka.   Suggested donated items: Books & Office supplies
  • Jul 23 - ParaNorman - Charity: Kindering .  Suggested donated items: Toys, Crafts, Dot markers, Play-doh, Bean bags, Piggy bank toy, Medium/large stickers, Visual spin and light up toys.
  • Jul 30 - Life of Pi - Charity: Youthcare.  Suggested donated items: Backpacks, Flash USB drives, Day planners (2011 & 2012), Alarm clocks, GED books, Art supplies, Calculators, Dictionaries, and Pens/pencils/highlighter.
  • Aug 6 - Parental Guidance - Charity: iCAREweCARE.  Suggested donated items: Clothing, Backpacks, and Messenger bags.
  • Aug 13 - Chasing Mavericks - Charity: Treehouse.  Suggested donated items: New clothing for kids ages 5 - 18, Long or short sleeved shirts, Jeans all sizes, Sweatshirts & hoodies, Warm coats Socks & underwear.
  • Aug 20 - Won't Back Down - Charity: Bellevue Lifespring.  Suggested donated items: Jelly/jam, Cooking oil, Pasta sauce, Canned fruit, Cereal, Men's & women's deodorant/socks, Bar soap, Shampoo & conditioner.

Kirkland Outdoor Movie Night:  Located at 4100 Carillon Point, Kirkland 98033, July 13th - Sept. 7th The movie event is free with a recommended $5 donation for Hopelink, a non-profit organization committed to promoting self-sufficiency in the community.  Popcorn, soda, and candy will also be available, with proceeds again benefiting Hopelink.  The movies will be open for seating at 8 p.m. and will begin at 9 p.m. (dusk).
